How We Started

On a rainy afternoon in Ahmedabad when Latha Giridhar was hosting her friends to piping hot sambar and steaming hot idlis/dosas, her friends suggested that more people deserve to taste these delicacies. Her family too echoed the thoughts of sharing her flavors across the globe. What started off as a casual conversation was more than enough to convince Latha, an educationist and an administrator with 35 years of experience, to pursue entrepreneurship with the sole purpose of catering home-made high quality South Indian masalas, instant mixes, and fresh batters to families across the globe. Latha was also keen to provide a means of living to people, specially women, who had lost employment due to the pandemic.

While Latha has been an academician since long educating kids across India and in the Middle East, she has also been churning South Indian delicacies to her friends and families since 1980. Over the last 40 years, Latha might have prepared about 150,000 idlis/dosas to date! 😀

Today, South 2 Mouth is steadily moving forward with customer base increasing day by day. The very taste of the masalas and batters has appealed the taste buds of our customers who have been instrumental in spreading the taste by word of mouth.

There are plans to widen the supply chain further by roping in logistics partners, tying up with food chains and covering the walled city of Ahmedabad. We aspire to spread our wings across the boundaries of India through a robust supply chain. Who else other than our valued customers, who are also our brand ambassadors will help us achieve our goals and realize our dreams.
